Benefit For Josh

Froggie’s Cafe will be holding a fundraiser for Josh Sanders this weekend.   A local man with a heart of gold, Josh is currently at Cedar Sinai in LA battling cancer.

At 35, Josh has had two separate kidney transplant operations, after being on dialysis for several years.   The second transplant was an experimental procedure and was thankfully successful, but during a routine check up last week the doctors discovered that his linguering cough was actually a mass in his lung.   He was rushed into ICU, where they finally determined it was two different kinds of cancer.   The anti- rejection drugs that he takes for his kidney transplant are hindering his body’s natural ability to fight the cancer effectively with radiation and chemo.

Froggie’s Cafe is donating 100% of the sales from this weekend, March 3rd and 4th, to Josh and Johanna Sanders to help cover some of their mounting expenses.  There will also be a “Josh” jug on hand for anyone that just wants to help the family and show support by donating whatever they can.   We hope that you can join us in supporting Josh this weekend.   Thank you :)

Old Fashion Fun !

Yearning for a good game of checkers or tic-tac-toe ?   How about a game of chess or dominos on a mid week evening or Saturday afternoon ?   Froggie’s Cafe offers Checkers, Chess, Tic-Tac-Toe and Dominos at several of our tables….for some good old fashion fun !

Stop by for a frozen treat or some cafe food and sit at one of our 3 game tables at Froggie’s Cafe.   There are also childrens’ books available to keep the little ones occupied.    Enjoy a break from the fast paced world, read a book with your child or challenge friends and family to an old fashion game of skill and logic :)

SLOMaid Ice Cream

Our store features SLO Maid Ice Cream, a local family owned business.  

SLOMaid ice cream is made by hand, in small batches, using only high-quality ingredients– the finest natural flavorings, fruits, nuts, coffees, candies and fudges.     The milk used in their ice cream is obtained from the Cal Poly University Dairy,  a mixture of Jersey and Holstien cows, which bring a rich, full bodied flavor to the SLOMaid product.

In addition to our ice cream case, we have a variety of pre-packed SLOMaid Ice Creams available for purchase.   We carry a variety of  pints, quarts and half gallons, with flavors varying each week.    Please let us know if you have a favorite.   Special orders are available in the 1/2 gallon size only.
